La Vida Essentials Fractionated Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a love of mine. I have written about it before so you know that I use it for many purposes, in many forms. Fractionated coconut oil is great for homemade massage oils and aromatherapy concoctions. In this form, the oil does not turn to solid so it is such a good way to mix up a batch of lotions, creams, or even perfumes. La Vida Essentials sent me a bottle of fractionated coconut oil to test and review. So here it goes.

The oil is colorless and odorless and it has an extremely long shelf life. This is important because a little bit goes a long way, so this large 16 oz. bottle will not go to waste. I will use the whole thing long before it expires or goes rancid. This lightweight oil provides soothing moisture without clogging pores. It leaves skin silky smooth, without the greasy feeling that some oils leave behind. Coconut oil provides healthy moisture for skin and hair. It is super thin which makes it work well in spray bottles or roller balls. Coconut oil is THE best carrier oil that I have found. It is fully soluble with essential oils, which is the main reason I love it so much. It is also safe to use on pets. When you purchase a bottle of the oil you get a free eBook with many lovely recipes to try with your oil. Here are a few of my favorites:

Energy Boosting Aromatherapy Blend
4 rosemary essential oil
2 juniper essential oil
2 nutmeg essential oil
1 pepper essential oil
1 tsp fractionated coconut oil
Blend ingredients and place in container. Apply to pulse points and inhale deeply.

Sleep Potion Aromatherapy Blend
2 drops vetiver
2 drops lavender
2 drops roman chamomile
2 drops clary sage
5 ml fractionated coconut oil
Blend ingredients and place in container. Apply to pulse points and inhale deeply.

Can you tell I am a fan of the essential oil blends? The coconut oil can also be used to make your own hairspray, bath oil, sunscreen, bug repellent, makeover, and countless other things. It is great for someone who loves to DIY and loves all natural salves and balms. It has been so much fun to look through the recipes and try out different concoctions. The oil is on sale at Amazon for $9.99 but the price will go back up soon, so try it now. They also have a money back guarantee so it cannot hurt to try!
